Polls Show that Americans Support Domestic Energy Development and Offshore Access
The Gallup organization released a new poll showing that for the first time, a majority of Americans believe economic growth should be given the priority, even if the environment suffers to some extent.
A recent Harris Interactive poll found that 61 percent of Americans who voted in the 2008 Presidential election support increased access to offshore oil and natural gas resources. Developing these resources would improve America’s energy security and create jobs and generate federal, state and local revenues.
