Shale Revolution Makes U.S. An 'Ally' Of Nations Seeking Energy Security, Says Rick Perry

The shale revolution has altered geopolitical paradigms making the U.S. an ally of "all nations seeking energy security", according to Secretary of Energy Rick Perry.
Speaking at IHS CERA Week in Houston, Texas on Wednesday (7 March), Perry said: "The U.S. has now become a net natural gas exporter. Our producers export liquefied natural gas (LNG) to 27 nations on five continents. In the coming years, you can expect more of the same."
He argued that President Donald Trump's pro-growth agenda will ensure further progress underpinned by technological advancements in general, and the improvement in hydraulic fracturing or fracking in particular. "And the U.S. is now producing oil and gas efficiently from the widest range of sources that we never thought possible."
