EPA Deadline Looms, Threatening Local North Carolina Economies, May 14th
An end of May deadline is looming for EPA to decide if they are going to change ozone standards. And although this may seem to be a minor regulatory change that benefits the public, in reality it is a potentially damaging economic setback to local communities with minor health benefits for the public. Furthermore, most counties will be unable to comply with the new standards; threatening their ability to issue permits to allow businesses to develop new opportunities, or expand current enterprises that could bring new jobs to our state.
Welcome to NC Energy Forum!, Feb 25th
I became chairman of the North Carolina Energy Forum because I am scared for our country and I am concerned our elected officials are not focused upon the important issues facing our economy today, which include energy security and protecting against higher energy prices.
North Carolina’s unemployment rate is more than ten percent today and we continue to lose manufacturing jobs at an alarming rate. Congress is not focused on promoting an effective policy that helps to put North Carolinians back to work and ensuring that we focus on providing energy security for all residents of our great state......
